Sleman (MTsN 9 Sleman)- Siswa kelas VII MTsN 9 Sleman dengan penuh antusias mengikuti kegiatan menanam sayur dan buah di lingkungan madrasah, pada hari Selasa (3/12/2024). Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari Program Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila dan Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin (P5RA) dengan tema “Gaya Hidup Berkelanjutan.”
Triyantoro Adi, selaku koordinator P5RA, menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan kesadaran pada siswa akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan sekaligus memanfaatkan lahan kosong secara produktif. “Tanaman yang ditanam meliputi sayur dan buah seperti sawi, tomat, bayam, seledri, pepaya, kangkung, kelengkeng, dan jeruk. Kami berharap kegiatan ini mengajarkan siswa cara bercocok tanam serta pentingnya keberlanjutan,” ungkap Triyantoro.
Seluruh siswa tampak bersemangat selama kegiatan berlangsung. Mereka bekerja sama menggemburkan tanah dalam pot, menanam bibit, hingga menyiram tanaman. Keceriaan tampak jelas ketika beberapa siswa mencoba memegang bibit buah untuk pertama kalinya. “Saya senang sekali bisa belajar langsung cara menanam. Ternyata, menanam itu seru dan menyenangkan!” ujar Bintang, salah satu siswa kelas VII.
Kepala MTsN 9 Sleman, Siti Juwariyah, turut mengapresiasi kegiatan ini. “Program ini tidak hanya mengajarkan siswa keterampilan praktis, tetapi juga mendidik mereka untuk lebih peduli terhadap lingkungan. Kami berharap hasil panen nanti bisa dinikmati bersama, sekaligus menjadi bukti bahwa usaha bersama akan membawa hasil yang bermanfaat,” katanya.
Kegiatan menanam sayur dan buah ini menjadi langkah nyata MTsN 9 Sleman dalam mewujudkan pendidikan yang mendukung konsep hidup berkelanjutan. Tidak hanya memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menarik, kegiatan ini juga memperkuat nilai-nilai gotong royong dan cinta lingkungan di kalangan siswa.(IM)
