Ekstrakurikuler Karya Ilmiah Remaja (KIR) atau Riset di MTsN 9 Sleman merupakan program unggulan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan minat dan bakat siswa dalam bidang penelitian dan penulisan ilmiah. Program ini dirancang untuk melatih siswa dalam berpikir kritis, analitis, dan kreatif melalui kegiatan penelitian ilmiah. Dengan mengikuti KIR, siswa dapat mengembangkan kemampuan mereka dalam menyusun karya ilmiah, mengolah data, dan mempresentasikan hasil penelitian mereka.
Visi dan Misi:
Visi: Menjadi pusat pengembangan kemampuan penelitian dan karya ilmiah yang mampu mencetak generasi muda yang inovatif, kritis, dan berwawasan luas.
Misi:
- Meningkatkan minat dan keterampilan siswa dalam bidang penelitian ilmiah.
- Membekali siswa dengan pengetahuan dan teknik penelitian yang baik dan benar.
- Mengembangkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis dan menyusun karya ilmiah.
- Mendorong siswa untuk berpartisipasi dalam berbagai lomba dan seminar ilmiah.
- Menumbuhkan rasa ingin tahu dan semangat eksplorasi dalam diri siswa.
Kegiatan Utama:
- Latihan Rutin: Mengadakan pertemuan rutin untuk melatih siswa dalam metode penelitian, penulisan karya ilmiah, dan presentasi hasil penelitian.
- Proyek Penelitian: Membimbing siswa dalam melaksanakan proyek penelitian ilmiah di berbagai bidang sesuai minat mereka.
- Workshop dan Seminar: Mengadakan workshop dan seminar dengan menghadirkan narasumber dari kalangan akademisi dan peneliti untuk memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan tambahan.
- Lomba dan Kompetisi: Berpartisipasi dalam berbagai lomba karya ilmiah remaja di tingkat lokal, nasional, dan internasional.
- Publikasi Karya: Mempublikasikan karya ilmiah siswa di jurnal atau media lainnya untuk memperluas jangkauan hasil penelitian mereka.
