Sleman (MTsN 9 Sleman) – MTsN 9 Sleman menggelar kegiatan mural bagi siswa kelas VIII dalam rangka Program Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin (P5RA) dengan mengusung tema Keragaman Budaya dalam Bingkai Persatuan. Kegiatan ini berlangsung pada Rabu (26/2/2025) dimulai sejak pukul 07.00 hingga 14.00 WIB.
Kegiatan mural ini menjadi ajang bagi para siswa untuk mengekspresikan kreativitas mereka dalam menggambarkan keberagaman budaya Indonesia melalui seni mural. Setiap kelompok siswa diberikan kesempatan untuk menuangkan ide dan nilai-nilai persatuan dalam bentuk gambar di dinding sekolah yang telah disediakan.
Kepala MTsN 9 Sleman, Siti Juwariyah menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ini tidak hanya bertujuan untuk mempercantik lingkungan sekolah, tetapi juga sebagai bentuk pendidikan karakter bagi para siswa. “Melalui mural ini, kami berharap siswa dapat semakin memahami dan menghargai keberagaman budaya yang ada di Indonesia. Dengan semangat kebersamaan, mereka diajarkan untuk bekerja sama dan saling menghormati satu sama lain,” ujarnya.
Salah satu peserta, Hellen siswa kelas VIIIA, mengungkapkan rasa antusiasnya dalam mengikuti kegiatan ini. “Kami sangat senang bisa ikut serta dalam mural ini. Selain bisa menggambar, kami juga belajar tentang berbagai budaya di Indonesia dan bagaimana pentingnya menjaga persatuan di tengah perbedaan,” katanya.
Program P5RA di MTsN 9 Sleman menjadi wadah bagi siswa untuk mengembangkan kreativitas sekaligus menanamkan nilai-nilai kebangsaan. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, pihak sekolah berharap dapat membangun karakter siswa yang lebih toleran, berjiwa seni, serta memiliki rasa cinta terhadap kebudayaan bangsa.
Dengan suksesnya kegiatan mural ini, MTsN 9 Sleman berharap dapat terus mengembangkan program-program serupa yang mendukung pendidikan karakter serta memperkuat semangat persatuan di kalangan siswa. Semoga semangat keberagaman yang tergambar dalam mural ini dapat terus tumbuh dalam kehidupan sehari-hari para siswa.(CR)
